Thanks to the ever-dynamic situation at Tirumala temple, the pilgrims always have a new doubt cropping up their mind during every visit. For them, here’s some good news.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) management has decided to place the Frequently Asked Queries (FAQs) on its official website as well as the various public interfaces for the benefit of pilgrims.
The FAQs received by the TTD call centres should be prominently displayed on the TTD website, published in its monthly mouthpiece ‘Saptagiri’, besides as scrolling on its Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC), Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao told a meeting of senior officials on Monday.
The information counters at Tirumala, considered the main interaction points with pilgrims, generally offer bundles of information on deficiency of services and shortcomings in facilities. It is hence that Mr. Rao was pertinent in asking the heads of departments to address the issues and complaints lodged by the devotees at these information centres.
Ahead of the ensuing ‘Krishna Pushkaram’, he instructed the SVBC to produce a promo on the origin of the river Krishna in Nasik (Maharashtra) and other historical temple towns abutting the river along its flow path. He also suggested utilisation of the services of local ‘Sevakulu’ (volunteers) for religious fairs and events of TTD in the respective areas.
Turning his attention to the engineering department, Mr. Rao instructed the concerned to tackle the menace of bed bugs and cockroaches in the rooms in Vishnu Nivasam, Srinivasam and Madhavam rest houses. He also ordered that the work on ‘Dhwaja Stambhams’ at Sri Govindaraja temple (Tirupati), Sri Konetiraya temple (Keelapatla) and Vedanarayana temple (Nagalapuram) be speed up
