BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur is all set to be Indian cricket board’s next President following the resignation of Shashank Manohar from the post.
Manohar was elected unanimously and unopposed as chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is expected that Thakur will find no resistance in his race to become President of the world’s most richest cricket governing body.
According to reports the HPCA President has been nominated as the candidate by all six associations from East Zone in the country, and Ajay Shirke is likely to take over the post of the BCCI’s secretary.
